Review: Oh my goodness....Tequila Rose absolutely loves Til Mar. I swear she pouts when we bring her home. Not to mention how nice & understanding Mary is---the best part is Mary, with my permission, lets Teq. Rose play with her own 5 dogs. Awesome place but make sure you book ahead as it seems they are almost always full of happy dogs! Thank you, Til Mar for easing our minds about the care Teq. Rose receives.

Review: My GSD Holly has been going to Til Mar since she was a puppy. Holly is very "special" as she requires tons of attention and really does not prefer to be away from her family. She does however, love Mary and the kennel. I wouldn't leave Holly ANYWHERE else. As a matter of fact, my life got so busy that I forgot to reserve space for her for this coming holiday weekend and rather than taking her somewhere else, I am choosing to stay home. Mary is like her second dog mom.

Review: WE just boarded our 3 year old Lab for the first time at Mary's.It was very hard to leave our "baby" with a stranger, but after spending just a few minutes with Mary, I could tell she loves what she does. I got such a warm feeling from her watching her interact with my Riley and the other dogs there. She obviously loves animals, and when she told me she plays with them individually three times a day, I knew this was the place I wanted to leave Riley. I would definitely recommend Mary's kennel to anyone who feels their pets are part of their family!

I have been using Til Mar Kennels for about 10 years now. I have never had any trouble. Mary always seems so happy to see my Boo-boo and Frannie. Frannie is a barker and she does not mind her barking. She has really done a great job with the kennel. Hope she stays around for a long time.

By: Donna Have you ever met someone for the first time and know instantly that they are remarkable person. Well that is the way I felt when I met Mary the owner of Til Mar Kennels. I recently dropped my two dogs off with Mary for a brief weekend stay. Due to circumstances beyond my control my little darlings ended up staying 10 days. Mary was wonderful. When I finally came for my poor little orphans they really were not that interested in leaving the kennel. Go figure !!! I would recommend Tilmar Kennels to anyone. It is very clean and the animals are very well taken care of. And as for Mary you really couldn't find a better person to watch over your loving pets.

By: Amy This place is AMAZING!! I am so glad to have found Til-Mar. We have two large, very high-energy dogs: one a former show dog and agility champion, and one a very sensitive rescue dog with some fear aggression issues. In the past, we always took them with us on every vacation because every other option had failed. We tried pet sitters, other kennels, vets, and none of them were satisfactory. But just having picked them up after their first long weekend at Mary's kennel, I am so very pleased!
The owner, Mary, is just such a pleasant person. Within seconds of meeting her, I could tell how much she loves and understands dogs. She instantly connected with both of my dogs, even the "challenging" one, and I could tell that both dogs were comfortable with her (something I've never felt about any previous sitter). She allowed us to come in the day before I dropped them off, and allowed my dog to "take a tour" of the facility so that he would be comfortable the next day.
Mary really listens to her customers' concerns and requests, and was more than happy to be flexible to meet our needs. While we were out of town, we experienced car trouble and wound up having to extend our stay. When I called her to tell her this, Mary said it would be absolutely no problem, and made me feel at ease that my dogs would be well taken care of for however long we needed them to be.
Now that we have finally found a place I feel so comfortable leaving my dogs, it allows us so much more freedom! We can finally plan vacations and not have to worry about taking the dogs with, but we can still feel secure knowing they will be safe and happy and healthy.
Thank you so much, Mary!!!!!!

By: Sue My dogs just love this place! I've been boarding here since 1999 and have never been happier. If your dog needs meds, no problem. If you have a special food, no problem. I've had 5 different dogs boarding here and never had a problem. As a matter of fact, they're getting ready to go there tonight! Definately a place I would recommend and have!

| I am so happy I found this place! I've lived in the area for about 4 years and have tried 2 other boarders. Neither of them made me feel comfortable, in fact one let my dog stay tied up (who knows why?) so long that he chewed through his leash in three separate places - very unlike him! After browsing around forever to look at kennels, vets, pet hotels, dog walkers, pet sitters, etc. I felt hopeless and was ready to cancel our trip. Then I drove by Til Mar and decided to look them up online! They had great reviews (a lot better than T••••••'s right down the street from them!!!) and terrific prices. The owner is friendly and has plenty of dogs of her own. She does this b/c she LOVES IT - not for the money. In her spare time she also volunteers at animal rescue places she told me. We talked over the phone, and she was open about everything - said I could stop by anytime to check the place out, I never needed to call first. There are two parts to the kennel - an inside section with concrete floors and chain link fences separating each dog. You can bring your own bedding, toys, food, bowls, etc. to make your pet comfortable. A lot of vets that board do not allow this, but I think it cuts down on my dogs' stress to have his own items. The second part is an outside section where they can go and have a little sunshine and fresh air as she's cleaning the inside up. In the front by the desk are a few cages if you have a cat. These are a lot roomier than other cages I've seen my cat boarded in. He's 18 lbs. - so a big guy and he was able to have plenty of room and his carrier, which he liked sleeping inside of. My dog and cat are really good friends and she let them visit w/ each other, which I really appreciated hearing about. After checking them in, she handed me her card and said that I could call anytime to check up on them, again - very comforting. I love this place and am so happy to have found it. I will continue to board both of my pets here as long as I live in this area. It is a gem and you never have to worry about your pets while you are away, which I was constantly doing until I found this place! |

This is an old, dog's-dog kennel. Not a fancy place, but the woman who took over the place a couple years ago does an amazing job and has a real heart for animals.
You won't find any dog couches, decorative wallpaper, or other foofy touches there. However, you can bring your dog's rugs, toys, and food and she will make sure your dog is comfortable. Her rates are really reasonable. She is doing remodeling and really spiffing the place up. Don't be afraid to board your dogs here--she's great! Get your reservation made early for the holidays! |
